And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave..

living the dream.

for the past five and a half weeks i have been roaming around the united states living my dream. starting in the west coast, then spending majority of my time in New York and finishing up on the relaxing beach of Waikiki.

i spent days just walking the streets, embracing each city's life, snapping shots at any and every opportunity. it was such an inspirational experience, especially when i was able to speak with prominent graffiti artists such as Indie, Lady Pink, Bio and Nicer from TATS CRU, Daze and Judith Supine. Such great stories shared, and true passion behind their art practices. they are all amazing and inspirational artists,  who gave me the opportunity to enter their world and understand their experiences in the big apple.

it was unbelievable, indescribable and truly life changing.

take me back.

...these streets will make you feel brand new
big lights will inspire you....

Del Kathryn Barton

            such purity, impulse and attraction.

finite details that from afar look like simple solid strokes, but
when faced in close proximity the power and significance of
each paint mark is brought to life...

this is my inspiration.

getting to know me...

so you can understand my art, my perspective and the way i portray my ideas, you have to know a little about me :)
i'm in my twenties and split my life between uni, work, art and enjoying my youth.
my art is a reflection of my interests, my loves and my exhaustive array of colours that filter through my mind.
i graduated with a bachelor of creative arts. with my growing love for graffiti and street art over the last four years, i am in the process of writing my honours thesis on this ephemeral and idiosyncratic art form.
i normally produce paintings on ceramic tile, but enjoy acrylics, watercolours and basic pencil pieces. very soon i'm hoping to experiment with aerosol - on canvas and legal walls (ill keep you all posted).
i've got a little private studio, where i escape to and get lost for hours at a time. it's my haven, my world, my form of therapy. unfortunately, sometimes with a busy lifestyle it is hard to take that time to do what you truly enjoy, but it must be a priority, it must become part of the daily/weekly ritual.

art drives me, art excites me, art expresses me.......

inspiration.

my initial inspiration was Sicilian ceramic artist, Don Corleone. in 2005, I visited the Don Corleone Objects studio in Taormina and fell in love with his abstract ceramic tiles. he has influenced my artistic style and inspired my diverse colour palette.
